Standard Return Policy
The following Standard Return Policy is for certain purchases made at westernelectric.com and is subject to change without notice. Electron tubes and other Western Electric products have warranties, return-by dates, and other rules that differ from the Standard Return Policy and are therefore exempt. To find the policies for a specific product, refer to the documentation included in its original packaging. You may need to contact us directly to obtain more information.
To initiate the Return Materials Authorization (RMA) process for an electron tube purchase, visit westernelectric.com/support.
Delivery
For domestic and international orders, shipping costs are calculated at checkout. Duties, taxes, and other fees controlled by the country of destination may be due upon delivery of international orders. These additional import charges are the responsibility of the buyer. In some cases our online store may estimate various import charges during checkout. This is a courtesy estimate and is not controlled or collected by Western Electric.
By default, all international orders are Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU). During checkout, it is important to provide full, accurate contact details so that your selected courier can reach you to settle any unpaid duties and taxes while your order is in transit.
If your product arrives damaged, immediately contact the shipping provider, regardless of the condition of the exterior packaging. Under U.S. shipping regulations, damage claims must be collected by the consignee. Do not destroy packing material or exterior boxes until a shipping agent has examined them. In most cases, damage claims can be started by phone, email, or via online customer service portal (fedex.com, for example).
Returns
If your product is defective, you may be entitled to return it for refund. Our Standard Return Policy lasts thirty (30) days. If more than thirty (30) days have passed since the date of purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange. Other restrictions may apply.
IMPORTANT
We do not offer returns or refunds for electron tube or amplifier purchases.
“Defective product” means there is an issue affecting normal product performance that may be within Western Electric’s control. All determinations regarding product condition and performance are made by Western Electric through the RMA process (continue reading for more information). All determinations are final.
You will be responsible for any inbound shipment costs. If a return is approved for refund, the cost for any inbound shipping label(s) generated by Western Electric will be deducted from your original amount available. If you generate the inbound shipping label, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance (e.g. FedEx, UPS). We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and contain all original tags and labels. Any adhesive seals used on product packaging must be unbroken, intact, and not tampered with. In some cases, we require a receipt or proof of purchase to complete a return.
To get started, email customer service at support@westernelectric.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Items returned to our facility without an RMA number assignment will be rejected and returned to the sender.
After receiving an RMA number, securely package your product and send to the address below, making sure to include your RMA number. Share any tracking information so that we may monitor the inbound shipment with you.

International Returns
For international customers engaged in the returns process, follow the same return instructions above. The rest of this section provides helpful information on what to expect while engaged in the international returns process.
Western Electric is not responsible for freight costs, duties, and other fees associated with inbound (return) shipments. For all inbound shipments Delivered Duties Unpaid (DDU), all fees will be passed along to you, the sender.
As the person generating the inbound shipping label, you are responsible for including three (3) copies of a commercial invoice and any required HTS code(s). Depending on your selected courier, it may be possible to change the shipment type to “Return for Repair,” “Repair & Return,” or “Warranty Replacement.” Where possible, describe the shipment as “Not Sold” in order to skip charges normally assessed with “Sold” type shipments.

If you are unsure about how to process your shipment, contact your local shipping professional (e.g. Fedex, DHL) for more information.
Refunds
Once your inbound (return) shipment is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within a certain amount of days. Contact your credit card company or original payment method provider if you believe the refund is late or missing. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
IMPORTANT
We do not offer refunds for electron tube or amplifier purchases.
Refunds for Affirm® Customers
For refunds involving orders paid through Affirm®, the customer is responsible for paying the merchant processing fee. The fee, typically 5.99% of the total order cost plus shipping, shall be deducted from the total balance available for refund. The details of your loan and payment plan are not visible to Western Electric and are fully managed through your Affirm® account.
Exchanges
If you wish to exchange a defective item for a new one, follow the return instructions on this page. We only replace items that are defective.
Restocking Fee
Returns are subject to restocking fees of 20% of the purchase price and inbound shipping fees. We may deduct these assessed fee amounts from the amount available for refund on all returns subject to the Standard Return Policy and any product-specific policy. We reserve the right to adjust the value of any item returned to reflect its current market price, in which case the restocking fee will be applied after this adjustment.
Western Electric does not charge restocking fees or for inbound shipping costs associated with defective products, wrong items delivered, or if some other shipping error was made, provided the item is within its return policy period and is in accordance with the Standard Return Policy.
